

Daniel J. McNicoll, is associate editor, at Saylor Publications, Inc. He is a licensed contractor, specifications consultant and certified expert witness. He formerly owned and managed a corporation that designed, manufactured and installed windows for major commercial buildings. His
millwork manufacturing background includes large scale residential projects, institutional projects built to specification, as well as, historical restoration work throughout the continental United States and Hawaii. He provided installation service on large millwork projects and personally has extensive finish carpentry experience. He setup and operated an Underwriters Laboratories licensed fabrication shop for the fire labeling of hollow metal doors and frames. He is certified as a structural arc welder. Operated a Warnock Hersey licensed wood fire door labeling and machining service. He has extensive architectural hardware specification, installation, and sales experience. He provides construction consultation for CSI Divisions Six, Eight, and Nine related topics, specializing in wood products. He offers expert testimony for cases involving door, window, and millwork issues relating to specification, manufacturing, and installation.
Dan is a member of American Arbitration Association, Architectural Woodwork Institute, Construction Specification Institute, Door and Hardware Institute, International Congress of Building Officials, Sealed Insulated Glass Manufacturers Association, and Woodworks Institute of California.
